Description

The Jupiter 2 functions as a large-format resin printer, utilizing a 16K monochrome LCD to achieve fine detail across its 277 × 156 mm build plate. This plate accommodates a complete set of miniatures or a substantial single model without needing scale reduction. An automated system for resin feeding and mixing maintains consistent levels and uniform mixture in the vat during extended prints, eliminating the necessity for manual refills and stirring often tiresome on larger machines. A reinforced linear Z-axis guide enhances layer consistency throughout the printer's tall 300 mm travel, mitigating wobble that might otherwise cause banding in finished prints with less robust rail systems. Featuring Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and USB connectivity, the Jupiter 2 is designed for creators and small studios focused on producing detailed resin prints in volume, rather than singular models. The COB light engine works in conjunction with a Fresnel collimating lens, ensuring a truly uniform cure across the plate and resolving details down to a 20 × 26 micron pixel pitch. A layer exposure time of approximately 2.5 seconds facilitates efficient production of large batches. Elegoo's SatelLite slicer provides the current supported workflow from model to print, specifically optimized for this light engine and resin management system.
